To display a list of all available newsgroups
- On the Go menu, choose Read Newsgroups, or click the button on the tool bar.
Tips
- It may take awhile for Microsoft Internet Explorer to download and format the more than 12,000 newsgroups that exist on the Internet. You can speed up this process by allocating more memory to Microsoft Internet Explorer. To allocate more memory, quit Microsoft Internet Explorer, select the Microsoft Internet Explorer icon on the Desktop and, on the File menu, choose Get Info. Be sure to leave 1-2MB for the Finder (to see where and how much memory is being used, with the Finder active, on the Apple menu, choose About This Macintosh).
- If the Read Newsgroups command on the Go menu and the button on the tool bar are unavailable, you need to configured your news settings.
- To refresh the newsgroups, choose Refresh on the View menu.
